Check Out The New book: “Cash in a Flash”

I had a chance to meet bestselling author Robert G. Allen on our law enforcement retreat at sea as part of our CopsAlive Cruise last January.  At the time he was just another guest of our larger group of people who were interested in doing business on the internet.  He was planning the internet promotions for his newest book which just came out two weeks ago, called: “Cash in a Flash: Fast Money in Slow Times” that he co-wrote with Mark Victor Hansen.  I was honored to meet Robert because I have read a couple of his books: “Multiple Streams of Income”, “Nothing Down”, “Cracking the Millionaire Code” (also co-written with Mark Victor Hansen) and was very impressed by his books and ideas.  I was also surprised that someone at his level of success was still learning about internet marketing at the same level that I was as the editor of CopsAlive.com.

I think anyone in law enforcement can benefit from the concepts in “Multiple Streams of Income” because it broadened my horizons.  Before reading it I thought multiple streams of income meant that I worked off-duty jobs for multiple employers like… I was, with a bar, a grocery store, a hospital and a movie theater who all hired cops to work security for them.

That book was just the beginning of my financial education that also included a bankruptcy.  As I learned more about financial management I also learned what multiple streams of income really meant.  I think this is one of those books that should be part of any program to teach financial management for cops.

I just got Robert and Mark’s newest book and I have to admit that when I first opened it I thought it was going to be a little too touchy-feely for me.  They start the book out with a lot about getting your heart and your head in the right place and I wanted some meat about how to make some quick cash.  I decided to gave the book a chance and am finding it very useful.  One big revelation from the book is the concept that “Intellectual Property is the Real-Estate of the Twenty-First Century” which is why Robert was on the same Internet Marketers Cruise with me.  It is also the reason that I have a formal business plan for The Law Enforcement Survival Institute and CopsAlive.com because I know that good information is good business!

Here is a video I shot of Robert promoting CopsAlive Cruises and asking for your support for his new book.  If you are interested in financial planning for police officers then I recommend this book.

I think the 2010 voyage is almost sold out so you may not be able to join us this next January 9th – 16th 2010, but we will have one again in 2011.

Just between Robert G. Allen and Mark Victor Hansen they have written a lot of great books. If you are interested in purchasing any of these books you can order them here and support CopsAlive at the same time (they won’t cost you any more but we will receive a small sales commission, hey that’s internet marketing!)

He decided he needed to do something to help change those problems and he wanted to give something back to the profession that gave him so much. He started a project that has evolved into CopsAlive.com. Put simply, the mission of CopsAlive is to save the lives of those who save lives! CopsAlive.com gathers information, strategies and tools to help law enforcement professionals plan for happy, healthy and successful careers, relationships and lives.
